I do not recommend this hospital because of the terrible service. They don't treat patients well; they treat them like animals. Not even a veterinarian would treat them this way, and the service is much better. I will never, ever return. Disgusting hospital! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Thank you for taking care of my wife, Jacqueline Alvarez. You are a tremendous team, and the doctors and nurses provide excellent service, better than in Orlando. When we lived there, she went and didn't receive good service, but here in Puerto Rico, it's the best. Thank you from her husband. God bless you always. Good work! The only thing is that the emergency room is very small; a larger one is needed. But everything else is excellent. The other comments don't matter; for me, it was excellent.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of urgency here. I checked in before 6:00 PM with severe food poisoning and dehydration. It is now past 11:00 PM, and while a CT scan was ordered hours ago, I still haven't received labs or the IV fluids I desperately need. The communication during the shift change was nonexistent. Five hours is an unacceptable wait for a patient in this condition." I put this review at 11:21pm and I’m still here waiting for the service. Horrible the services.

In the Pre-admission area, they attend to you quickly. Everything is organized, and the area is clean. The nurses, secretaries, and internist are very kind. My appointment was for 7:30, and by 11:00 I was already back home. Thank you.

Poor service and cruel treatment by the shift supervisors, poor communication and violation of patient rights, as well as by the nursing staff; insufficient performance by the internist who gave me an incomplete discharge; the social worker and the patient advocate did not give me a copy of the report I made regarding everything that happened; and poor dietary service with late deliveries and poor quality food. I do not recommend them so that you do not suffer what I suffered during 48 hours of hospitalization.

The pediatric ward is wonderful. But the adult emergency room is incredibly slow. I waited four hours for some lab results.

The cleanliness of the bathrooms leaves much to be desired; I went up last night. Breakfast was a disaster. They have a lot to learn from Orlando Health; the service there is excellent. Here, they treat even an animal better.

Been coming up here all week for my dying husband. I was rushed up here because of an emergency. I was greeted at the door and was told I can’t wear the same shoes I been coming up here in, or my outfit. Mind you, I have been wearing the same outfit for 3 days, between my husbands health and my family I haven’t had time to change. They said I was against their dress code. They also will lock every door to the hospital! Even the emergency exits. I had to climb a fence to leave this hospital because of this. Just for their 24 hour parking garage to be closed. When it is advertised as open 24 hours. I will be reporting this hospital to every official I know personally and it will be investigated for numerous things

Horrible! My sister was in an ER cubicle 4 days during which she was exposed to 24/7 screaming from patients that were out of control and basically ignored by staff. There was no staff discipline. I requested a bath for my sister after 2 days and was told to wait while the Nurse gathered her supplies. She disappeared and never returned. Hours later I passed by an office where about 5 nurses had gathered shooting the breeze and the nurse i had requested the bath from was there enjoying herself. It was sad and made me feel sick! When you have a loved one that cannot do for themselves, you want to be reassured that the people taking care of them are responsible and committed people… these were neither responsible nor committed! It’s the worst hospital experience I’ve had!

We have been in the emergency room for over 24 hours waiting for a room for an 85-year-old lady who has not received any treatment.

The nurses in the emergency room are going to be role models. Zero empathy or patient care.

My experience at Doctor’s Center Hospital in San Juan was not only negative, but alarming to the point of posing a risk to patient safety. This comment is not merely a complaint: it is an urgent appeal to the relevant institutions, regulatory bodies, and any health authority responsible for protecting the rights and well-being of patients in Puerto Rico. The staff demonstrated a complete lack of guidance, knowledge, and communication. Every question was a mystery because no one knew anything. My partner, admitted for pneumonia, depended on essential respiratory therapies, and even then, we had to chase after the staff to get them administered. Her therapy, scheduled for 9:00 pm, didn't arrive until after 11:33 pm. This level of negligence is extremely concerning. When we asked, the only response was that “they were nurses, not therapists.” That kind of response demonstrates a complete absence of empathy, responsibility, and a sense of urgency. How is it possible that in a hospital, a patient has to beg for their own treatment? Adding to this is the deplorable state of the facilities: dirty areas, lack of hygiene, bathrooms in poor condition, and an overall environment that fails to meet minimum health standards. This is not only unacceptable; it poses a real risk to anyone who enters the premises. Given everything I have witnessed, I urge the health authorities, regulatory agencies, and bodies responsible for evaluating hospitals in Puerto Rico to investigate this hospital urgently. Patients here are not safe, they do not receive adequate care, and the professionalism that should characterize a medical center is completely absent. People's health and lives cannot be left in the hands of such a disorganized and negligent system.

I simply want to express my frustration as the daughter of an 84-year-old patient who needs help bathing. The nurses told us that they don't bathe the patients; only the patient's family does. So my mother had to wait until nightfall for a family member to arrive.

THE WORST HOSPITAL I'VE EVER BEEN TO Yesterday I went to this hospital with diarrhea, vomiting, and dehydration. I couldn't even walk. It was 3 PM when I arrived. I left today requesting a VOLUNTARY DISCHARGE. THE NURSES ON THE NIGHT SHIFT WERE DISRESPECTFUL. I understand they're overwhelmed with work, but What I experienced last night was the worst experience of my life. They kept leaving me there but wouldn't give me a bed. I cried and begged to be allowed to lie down, and they finally put me to bed at 1 AM. They were in the middle of the hallway all night, laughing and shouting, gossiping and even arguing. I couldn't rest, and I kept asking for the medication the doctor had prescribed, and they told me, "AWFUL," that I had to wait… Ladies and gentlemen, healthcare in Puerto Rico is A DISASTER!!! Not even a blanket, shivering from the cold, not even a pillow, NOTHING! I left there without a medical report, not knowing what's wrong with me. All they did was run tests to charge my health insurance. Shameless!
