An Absolute Heartfelt Recommendation .. A Midwife Beyond Anything We Ever Dreamed of ! Sabrina was the greatest gift on our journey into parenthood. From the very beginning, my deepest wish was to have a natural birth , guided by a midwife who truly understands the female body and deeply trusts the wisdom of nature. And that is exactly who Sabrina is. She carries extraordinary knowledge, profound experience, and at the same time such a calm, loving, and powerful presence that you feel safe from the very first moment. Every second with her, I knew: I am exactly where I am meant to be. She always asked for my consent before any examination, explained everything with clarity, and continuously gave me the final say. That level of respect and empowerment meant more to me than words can express. Our daughter was born healthy, peaceful, and surrounded by pure love. Sabrina didn’t just support us medically, she held us emotionally, strengthened us, and created a space of trust, safety, and deep confidence. Her work is pure strength. Pure dedication. Pure wisdom. You can immediately feel that she truly knows what she is doing and that she does it with her whole heart. We are endlessly grateful and will never forget her. Any woman would be incredibly lucky to be guided by Sabrina. If you are looking for a midwife who truly sees you, empowers you, and safely guides you through a natural birth then Sabrina is the one.

I had a consultation with Primal Health because I'm seeking midwifery care for my pregnancy and home birth. The purpose of a consultation is to understand how the team can support you and provide safe, professional care. Unfortunately, this consultation was a very negative experience due to the bilingual midwife, Sabrina. Her energy was negative, judgmental, and entirely fear-based. Instead of explaining their model of care or how they support their patients, she made unnecessary, uninformed, and unprofessional comments. She made alarmist claims about ultrasounds, the umbilical cord, and vitamins, including saying that vitamin K causes blood clots in pregnant women, which is medically incorrect. She also made inappropriate and non-medical comments about having a girl during the Year of the Horse. The consultation didn't feel like a supportive space, but rather a judgmental one. It was neither informative nor helpful. Her attitude was discouraging and completely inappropriate for someone in a caring position. Honestly, her involvement was the main reason why this experience was uncomfortable and disappointing. I want to be clear: the purpose of a consultation is to discuss how the team can support the patient, not to instill fear or make personal judgments. The other midwives were kind and professional. Natalia, in particular, was excellent and very helpful. However, the overall experience was negatively impacted by Sabrina's lack of professionalism.

Two months ago I lost my baby, and I'd like to share my experience. Primal health is a good concept, because for those of us who seek midwifery, we do so out of a need for individualized spiritual and health care, and having doctors on staff could provide reassurance. However, there needs to be better teamwork with improved communication and access to timely care. They urgently need a protocol in case of death and a clause in the contract to protect them and ensure the rights of the women they serve. Midwives undoubtedly provide the most humane and beautiful care during childbirth, but as a first-time mother, and after the loss of my Farah, I affirm that it's essential to have medical supervision concurrently and ensure that the birth experience is as special as we hope, accompanied by them. Narrative: In October 2025 (8 months pregnant), I began experiencing unusual symptoms. I reported having headaches so severe I couldn't even move because I was seeing flashing lights. I even mentioned in a message that I was sure it was my blood pressure, and I was told to check it because it was necessary. The midwives were in labor, and I couldn't move, so I suggested buying a blood pressure monitor, but they didn't respond. Later, one morning, I had a "laryngospasm," which the midwives labeled a "panic attack." I knew and mentioned that it felt physical, not emotional. Today, after doing a lot of research, I know it's very common to confuse them, but there are key signs that can help you distinguish between the two. In this case, it already indicated a severe reflux issue. In the last few weeks, I noticed quite a bit of swelling, which is normal for women in their final weeks of pregnancy. However, considering my previous symptoms, the swelling shouldn't have been considered normal. I swam as instructed, elevated my feet, and nothing reduced the swelling. It was my first full-term pregnancy; I was unaware that these were all warning signs, and I shared all these discomforts with the midwifery team. Their approach was standardized, which is understandable to some extent. At Salud Primal, they handle many births and a large number of patients, and now I know that this also means it's necessary to have medical monitoring in addition to the midwifery team's care. Although my blood pressure was fine during my checkups, it could have been atypical preeclampsia or another condition that could have been detected if even minor discomforts had prompted me to see a doctor. This is where they could still work better as a team. Even the day after the laryngospasm, they didn't have electricity, so they couldn't see me. I wish they had asked me if the placenta was going to the lab, and explained why it was important to get answers. In the midst of the shock, an autopsy sounds unimaginable because you don't want anyone touching your baby and you want them to stay only with you in your arms. I refused an autopsy, but without a doubt, now, with so many questions, I would have liked to know about the placenta, but they didn't ask me. That's why I believe a protocol and even a clause are necessary. I've been able to help a mother with the same symptoms as me identify them in time, so in addition to leaving this comment as feedback for the birthing center, it's a story for the mothers who read this, so they don't minimize their pain and listen to themselves during pregnancy. I wish this could be the most loving review because I have my baby in my arms, but unfortunately, Farah came through me to give Salud Primal information to improve their care.

The best place for a vaginal and natural birth. Thank you, Dr. Misael.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Misael Ramos. The diagnosis and treatment plan were deficient. The doctor did not prescribe the medication completely or correctly, which had serious consequences. Because of his error, my health deteriorated, and I ended up hospitalized in the emergency room for three days. It is unacceptable that negligence in a simple prescription should put a patient's health at risk. My recommendation is to proceed with extreme caution or seek a second opinion.

Greetings from Virginia, Ermilo, and baby Emilia.

I've been meaning to write a review for months, but have been a bit distracted with my (almost) 8 month old! The team here is one of a kind. Everyone is so kind and professional - you really can't go wrong. I was on the fence on what type birthing experience I was looking for, but after a few appts with a very sought after doctor in Playa, and then an appt with the midwives... well the decision was made for me. The doctor had to be reminded of the sex of my baby, and had to look up my name each time. Meanwhile at Salud Primal, you are greeted with warmth, (often a hug), and treated as a family member about to embark on the most transformational experience. Everyone was eager to answer my endless questions, abate my fears, and ultimately help me prepare emotionally and mentally for a beautiful birthing experience. I went into labor at 35.5 weeks, and was still able to labor at Salud Primal. It really is a very safe, special place to give birth. My husband and I were given all the tools and support to help me through this time. We had my hypnobirthing tracks playing, dim lighting, and often it was just myself and my husband in the room together, moving through the motions of labor. After 24 hours, my dilation had stalled, I was exhausted, and our first midwife, Ella, suggested we make a very calm, slow transfer to Hospital Ixchel to administer oxytocin. There was never any pressure, or reason for concern, but I decided it was the best thing to do for me at that time. My son was born 10 hours later (still in a tub, which was what I had desired to do at Salud Primal). The team came with me, and the wonderful Stef helped catch my baby and hand him to me. Mailén was the best doula you could ask for, standing by and supporting me the entire time. What a rockstar team. The postpartum check-ins are a fantastic bonus as well. It was so special to see each one of my team members after the long journey we had all been on together. I 100% recommend Salud Primal. I miss these beautiful women and their ability to make you really believe that birth is indeed normal, natural, healthy, and safe.
