The attention from the doctor is very good, however... At first, the service from the receptionist was poor. We called to say we were at the entrance of the clinic, which has a sign outside that says Grupo Playa Med. The receptionist insisted we weren't, that it was next to AMERIMED, but it wasn't. She made us go around in circles looking for the location, when it was where we were originally scheduled to be. However, she abruptly interrupted us during the call and told us she'd send us the location instead. It's important to pay more attention to customer service. I heard her answering other phone calls, and it still wasn't the service you'd expect.

Dr. Juarez is very good Caring and efficient. Just a few comments: Brenda, one of the receptionists has a really bad attitude, I can hardly understand what she says ( in Spanish, which I speak.She mumbles. She seems to be angry all the time. She is NOT an asset. Maybe the other receptionist could take care of the customers. NO ELEVATOR!!! If you are not feeling well you need one.

$1,000 for the consultation and I don't know if anyone has told you, but that waiting room chair is a damn nightmare! It's very uncomfortable, so worn out that the wood pokes at your seat, and they weigh you on an old scale like the ones from the IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute).

Where to begin? Let me tell you, I've never seen such a rapid response as Dr. Rico's when dealing with a staff issue. Bravo! He's a humble doctor who gives 150% of himself to ensure your well-being, but above all, he rolls up his sleeves to do the work of those who aren't qualified to do it. I commend his professionalism, his dedication, and above all, I highly recommend him, knowing that if you visit this clinic, Dr. Rico will do everything possible for the well-being of his patients. And a round of applause for the reception staff! I hope other clinics will take note of the enthusiasm, professionalism, and immediate responses that definitely benefit the patient. This clinic and Dr. Rico are the best. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The facilities are very uncomfortable and unsuitable for wheelchair users. You can hear everything other patients say during their appointments. While I was waiting, a doctor came out and threw his gloves in front of the desk and the other waiting patients. The doctor who saw me was very unsympathetic from the moment I walked in; I felt completely at ease. Based on my experience, I do not recommend it, and I would never return!

Amazing clinic. Saw Dr. Karla as a first time patient. I was looking to have an endoscopy done ASAP as I would be travelling home shortly, with a six month wait. She quickly arranged blood tests and an ECG within the hour. If only we had service like that in Canada. Thank you again Dr. Karla

Giving two stars because the doctor was nice and they didn’t kill my wife. She picked Clínica Digestiva de la Riviera Maya specifically because it was close to our apartment so we could walk there. Unfortunately, after paying half the cost of the colonoscopy to book the appointment, she found out the procedure would be done at Hospital CostaMed which is two miles away. Did all the prep, took a taxi, and waited as her procedure got delayed for about two hours with no explanation or time estimate. Despite sending over documentation ahead of time, the doctor, who was quite personable, had no idea why she was there as she’s fairly young. She’s really tiny and they gave her way too much anesthesia medication so she was really sick when she woke up. Plus she was bleeding even though no polyps were removed. There was no concern or follow-up. They kicked us out the door the moment the equipment was cleaned, barely able to communicate or walk at 8pm with no ability to get a taxi that late. I had to slowly walk her home. She was sick for several more hours. In addition, the office flatly refused, multiple times, to tell her if her results were normal (or when she should schedule a follow-up) without paying for a consultation. Will not be back.
