At FUNIDEP we do things differently: We know that many times, through health insurance providers, mental health care is limited to medications and brief 20-minute therapy sessions once or twice a month, so "we leave the same way we came in." This can lead to losing hope... and even considering "death" as a way to rest from so much suffering, from enduring so many symptoms, and "stop being a burden to our loved ones." We don't see a way out, but there is one, of course there is. After overcoming a crisis, you never go back to being the same: You rise from the ashes, that true "Authentic and Beautiful Being"!
—This is not a traditional office where you come to be told what's "wrong with you," or to be labeled!
—It's not an insurance provider, nor a clinic, nor a place where you come to be pathologized, stigmatized, or reduced to "mentally ill" because you CAN give your story a "New Direction." WE THINK ABOUT THE MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH OF ALL OF COLOMBIA!

The appointment was scheduled for 6 p.m., but an hour passed without us being attended. Additionally, we did not receive the link in time for the meeting. When we complained, the doctor asked us, in an unprofessional manner, to be patient so she could see us. This situation seemed unprofessional, lacking empathy and respect for our time as patients. Likewise, the doctor seemed annoyed when we insisted on sending the link to connect to the family appointment. Overall, it has been a very bad experience: disappointing, frustrating, and concerning regarding the professional level and degree of empathy necessary to establish an adequate connection with patients. I do not recommend her.
