I am Dr. María Alejandra Chacón Ruiz, a dermatologist certified by the Mexican Council of Dermatology. I studied Medicine at the University of Sonora and completed two years of specialization in Internal Medicine at the National Medical Center La Raza. Subsequently, I specialized in Dermatology at the General Hospital of Mexico “Dr. Eduardo Liceaga”, where I am currently pursuing a subspecialty in Dermato-oncology and Dermatological Surgery.
I am an active member of the Ibero-Latin American College of Dermatology (CILAD) and have complemented my training with diplomas in dermatoscopy and dermato-oncology. I have participated in national and international congresses such as DERMAJAL and RADLA, and have collaborated on scientific articles.
My areas of interest include dermato-oncology, clinical dermatology, and aesthetic dermatology. I treat conditions of the skin, hair, and nails, from common ailments to complex cases. I went because I was interested in laser treatment and specifically asked about that option. However, they scheduled a consultation just to suggest the same treatment, which I found unnecessary. At that time, they didn't have the prices and told me they would send them later, but they never did. All I received afterward was a message requesting a review, which surprised me considering they still hadn't provided the information I'd asked for from the start. Honestly, I feel like I paid for the consultation without getting any useful information, since the dermatologist only confirmed that my current routine was fine and didn't give me any concrete details about the treatment. In my experience, it was a waste of time and money.
