Good patient care is essential. Today I accompanied my husband to his appointment with Dr. [Name]. She performed the examination, and everything was going well until we mentioned previous tests my husband had undergone, so she could be informed about the process. She responded, "You're free to do whatever you think is best," "I have two thousand patients," and "There are other gastroenterologists here," clearly annoyed. Remembering that we all have bad days, I explained that we came to her with the expectation of a cure and that her understanding of the patient was crucial. She replied that we could spend all day discussing this or the treatment. A patient ALWAYS requires good treatment and trust; it's part of the treatment. Dr. [Name] clearly lacked impulse control.
