One hopes they never have to meet a doctor on vacation but since we did, we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Doctor Cortina was calm, attentive, and incredibly kind. My husband and daughter got food poisoning on our vacation to Cancun and we ended up having to extend our stay by 1 night. When we met Doctor Cortina, he explained everything step by step, and before he moved on, he made sure we understood what he was saying. We are native English speakers, so I was a little concerned about making sure we understood everything but after speaking, I wasn’t worried anymore as his English is impeccable. He was incredibly patient with all of our questions and when he moved on to examining my daughter, his kindness really shown through. He was patient with her, taking his time and not rushing her through any part of the exam. To top off this 5 star review, his care went above and beyond just the day of our stay. We were able to text him any questions we had after we made it back to the US. I highly recommend using Dr Cortina if needed. And like he said, we hope to never have to see him again, only as friends, never as a patient.

Went to the medical practice within our hotel as I had a swollen knee. Dr fernando thought it could possibly be dvt. Suggested I go to hospital for an ultrasound to double check. He arranged transportation and had called the hospital so they know I was coming. He was very professional and helpful. Luckily it turned out to be just a build up of fluid that was drained away. Very happy with the service and the cost of all of his help.

While on vacation in Mexico I developed a UTI and a case of diarrhea. Luckily, the resort had an on-site doctor. Dr. Cortina was available immediately and I was able to get medicine that helped me feel better by the next day so I could continue to enjoy the rest of my stay.
