I can’t thank Dr. Gomez Alvarez enough for the incredible care she gave me during my stay in Tulum. In the middle of the night, after suddenly coming down with a severe stomach bug, I contacted her and she arrived at my hotel so quickly, with the kindest, warmest, and most professional attitude I could have hoped for. I was feeling absolutely awful, but she immediately put me at ease. She asked thoughtful and thorough questions to understand what had happened, and then explained clearly and compassionately what was going on and what the best course of action would be. I trusted her completely. She administered an IV, and within just a few hours I was already feeling so much better. Thanks to her care, I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation, something I’m deeply grateful for. In the days after, she even messaged me to check how I was doing, which shows just how caring and dedicated she is. I messaged Dr. Elisa with an infection on my ankle. In less than 90 minutes, she was at my front door. She came prepared to diagnose and treat the problem. To begin with, I was shocked that Dra Elisa does home visits. I used her Tulum office, which was easy to find and easy to park. Her English was excellent and her examination was complete. All in all, I am very happy with the care and personal response from Dra Elisa. I will recommend her services which include more than examination and diagnosis. I had a diverticulitis flare up and ended up in bed from the pain. I reached out to Dra Elisa on a Sunday and she was able to do an emergency appointment and do a virtual visit with me at home. When you are in extreme pain, it’s a huge gift not to have to travel. She prescribed medication that allowed me to decrease the amount of pain in a few hours. It’s only day one after seeing her and I am very hopeful for a full recovery. I was new to Dr Elisa and appreciate her confident and gentle bed side manner. I am considering making her my primary physician even though I have grown to love my PDC doctor. Dra Elisa is a gem.

I just recently met Dra. Elisa. I received a flu shot from her. She's a great shot giver. I barely felt the stick. My arm was only mildly sore and no ill effects at all. It's amazing that she does house calls; I wouldn't hesitate to call upon her if I needed medical assistance. Since I live alone, I wouldn't always be comfortable driving or necessarily have someone to drive me, so it's comforting to know that there is someone I can call upon for care, if I am ill.

Dra Elisa is amazing! She is very thorough and always follows up. She also makes house calls which is great. She is also knowledgeable with HRT. She does a deep dive into your bloodwork and she was able to do what seemed to be the impossible here and find troches from a compound pharmacy in Mexico. She is a doctor who thinks outside of the box. And her English is excellent! Cannot recommend her highly enough in all regards to medicine.
