Cell-free fetal DNA (NIPT) in Mexico

Cell-free fetal DNA testing, also known as Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), is a screening test that analyzes fetal DNA fragments found in maternal blood to assess the risk of chromosomal abnormalities such as Down syndrome and other genetic conditions. This test is performed during pregnancy and does not carry the miscarriage risk associated with invasive procedures like amniocentesis.
