Ciliary body cryotherapy or diathermy is a treatment that uses extreme cold or heat to destroy or reduce function of the ciliary body, typically used to lower intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma or other eye conditions. This procedure may be performed when conventional treatments have failed or cannot be tolerated.
