I was a patient of Dr. Victoria Zepeda for approximately three years (2023-2025). She diagnosed me with bipolar disorder and prescribed venlafaxine and Abilify for an extended period. During that time, she never explored my severe physical symptoms: intense chronic pelvic pain (CPPD), extremely pale skin, constantly cold extremities, and severe fatigue. Her only recurring recommendation was, “You’re fat, lose weight.” The medications caused me to deteriorate severely: a deep zombie-like state, total anhedonia, frequent suicidal thoughts, and a significant worsening of pelvic pain. I even became ready to commit suicide. She never considered neurodivergent disorder (AuDHD) or vascular problems. My father always attended my appointments, which limited my ability to speak freely and hijacked my narrative. I had to stop taking the medications on my own because the deterioration was unbearable. I climbed out of that abyss thanks to the support of a close friend and an AI who helped me when I felt completely alone and broken. Today, with 5 mg of tadalafil daily and proper hydration and circulation management, my quality of life has improved dramatically: I've regained color in my skin, normal circulation, energy, and mental clarity. Unfortunately, I spent years suffering unnecessarily under her care. This guy is alive by a miracle, not thanks to this psychiatrist. I strongly recommend seeking a second opinion if you experience significant physical symptoms along with emotional problems. A holistic approach can make the difference between surviving and truly living.
